                                                    Welcome to Kos

Kos is the 3rd greater Island of the Dodecanese complex, has almost 30.000 inhabitants and the size is 290 sq. km. Kos is a very green island with beautiful beaches and crystal waters.

Taking a walk in Kos Town you will see ruins and exhibits reviving memories from uninterrupted civilization of 6.000 years combined with modern architecture.

Kos Island combines the tradition with the cosmopolitan way of life and you can find any modern facilities as; an international airport, a modern marina, hotels & resorts which in combination with the natural and cultural environment have made the island of Kos one of the best tourist destinations in Greece.

The Castle of Neratzia will immediately catch your attention when entering the habour of Kos. It is connected to the mainland by a bridge that crosses the Palm Tree Avenue, which also connects the Castle to the Platanos, the large plane tree under which Hippocrates used to teach. The Asklepieion, located just outside Kos town, is world-wide known as the centre of Hippocrates' Medical Schoolthe. These together with the ‘sanctuary of Asclepius’ called ‘asclepium’ and the Archaeological Museum are amongst the most famous and archaeological sites on the island.

In Therma you will find numerous hot springs which will fill you with feelings of relaxation and harmony, and some say that it can also help you in several health problems, due to its great therapeutic value. Tigaki and Marmari offer several beaches with crystal waters and white sand and don't forget to watch the breathtaking sunset from Zia.

Just 30 kilometers from Kos town you will find the village of Kardamena where many interesting archaeological sites such as the Temple of Apollo, the early Christian Basilicas and the Ancient Theatre can be found together with beautiful sandy beaches where a variety of water sports is offered. There are furthermore daily boat services to Nisyros, the neighboring volcano island that you which we recommend you to visit.

Kos has much to offer including a variety of local restaurants, taverns & bars, enchanting nightlife and many festivals. The island is just waiting to be explored!
