Cannes is the jewel of the Cote d’Azur - famed for its Film Festival, glorious beaches and benign all year round weather. It is also an ideal base for exploring the coast and the beautiful inland countryside.
Lord Brougham, British Chancellor of the Exchequer, built a home here and made Cannes THE winter resort for the crowned heads of Europe in the 19th century. The Americans came in the 1920’s and created the summer season… and all that jazz.
